African Violet Foundation
The African Violet Foundation (AVF) has been serving and supporting middle and high school students and their families in Southeast Iowa since 2006. They serve middle and high school students at Fairfield, Pekin and Van Buren Community school districts annually at Christmas. AVF purchased a building at 54 South B Street in Fairfield, Iowa. When renovation was complete, the building was opened as The African Violet Boutique: Where Fashion Is Free For Those In Need. AVF also helps with additional emergency situations presented to them by school personnel, social workers or other non-profit groups.
