Free & Accepted Masons of New York

The Free & Accepted Masons of New York, officially the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the State of New York, is a nonprofit organization that serves as the coordinating body for many Masonic activities throughout New York State.

History

The first documented presence of Freemasonry in the colony of New York dates back to the mid-1730s, with Daniel Coxe Jr. being appointed as Provincial Grand Master by the Duke of Norfolk, the Grand Master of the Premier Grand Lodge of England[1][3].
