Central Virginia Horse Rescue, Inc (CVHR) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the compassionate care of equines. Our mission is to save, protect, and rehabilitate equines in need. We rescue unwanted, abused, neglected, or abandoned equines; provide them with care and rehabilitation; and finally find them a compatible, loving home. We believe that education is the long-term solution to improving the lives of equines.

Central Virginia Horse Rescue - A 501c3 Non Profit in Fredericksburg VA At Central Virginia Horse Rescue CVHR we are dedicated to providing a safe landing for horses in need routinely caring for 25 to 35 horses across our main farm in Fredericksburg and our foster farm in Marshall VA. Annually CVHR extends its care to over 120 horses ensuring each one receives the attention medical care and love they deserve. As a primarily volunteerrun organization our operations rely on the passion and hard work of individuals who dedicate their time and skills to improve the lives of these majestic animals. By supporting CVHR you are not just helping maintain the daily care of our horses you are contributing to a larger mission of rescue rehabilitation and rehoming.
