In June of 2008 they celebrated their 35th annual Fishin Mission trip and decided to establish The Fishin Mission Foundation focused on providing financial support to help meet the needs of the Bridgeport community. As of 2024 the Fishin Mission Foundation has donated nearly 250000 to over ten different local Bridgeport causes.
