Venturing Out's mission is to improve economic self-sufficiency outcomes for men and women who will soon be returning to their communities (or have recently returned) after incarceration by increasing their access to entrepreneurial/career opportunities and business development support. In this way, Venturing Out aims to reduce recidivism as men and women who are able to provide for themselves and their families are less likely to re-offend, will pay taxes rather than burden taxpayers, and are positive role models within their communities.
