There is a pending permit review for an unconventional shale gas well proposed on Jim Mountain Road, Springfield Township, called "Tanta Bella 1. " This application, submitted to the PA DEP by PH Masterline, is for the development of a well pad at 375 Jim Mountain Road, and 3 miles of boring from the well pad to beyond Clay Run Road. Drilling would take place along the Utica Shale formation at a total vertical depth of over 15,000 feet.
