Historical Background

The Hudson Motor Car Company, established in 1909, was a major player in the early automotive industry. Its brands, including Essex (1919-1934) and Terraplane (1932-1938), were known for innovation and affordability. The company merged with AMC in the 1950s and ceased operations under the Hudson name by 1957[3][4]. The club ensures that the legacy of these vehicles lives on through its activities and educational initiatives.

The Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Club plays a crucial role in preserving automotive history by maintaining a community of enthusiasts dedicated to these vintage cars. It not only supports restoration efforts but also educates the public about the significance of Hudson and its associated brands in American automotive history[4].
