NAMI SWI is dedicated to providing support, education and advocacy for persons with mental illness NAMI Southwestern Illinois provides free support, education, and advocacy programs for persons with mental illnesses, family members, and others whose lives are affected by brain disorders. NAMI Southwestern Illinois promotes self-advocacy to address concerns related to access to mental health services, advocates for increased mental health care programs and supportive recovery based community programs. NAMI SWI advocates for the understanding and acceptance of mental illness as a biologically-based brain disorder within our communities.
