Permanently Impacting Our Nation's At-Risk Youth! YIP promotes leadership, education, team building thru football in low-income, at-risk middle school THE YOUTH IMPACT PROGRAM STRIVES TO PROVIDE INNOVATIVE EDUCATIONAL ACCESS, ACADEMIC INSTRUCTION, AND STRONG MENTORING RELATIONSHIPS TO AT-RISK YOUTH ACROSS THE COUNTRY, USING FOOTBALL AS AN INCENTIVE TO ENCOURAGE PERSONAL GROWTH. BY TARGETING ADOLESCENTS FROM UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES AND IMMERSING THEM IN A COLLEGIATE ATHLETE EXPERIENCE COMPLETE WITH NCAA STUDENT ATHLETES AS ROLE MODELS, YIP WORKS TO INSPIRE YOUNG PEOPLE TO GARNER SUCESSES IN AND OUT OF THE CLASSROOM. CONNECTING TOP UNIVERSITIES, NFL TEAMS, AND LOCAL SPONSORS WITH INNER CITY MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS, YIP SITS IN A UNIQUE POSITION IN THE WORLD OF SPORT-FOR-DEVELOPMENT AND WILL CONTINUE TO LEVERAGE THE PROGRAMS STRENGTHS UNTIL WE HAVE POSITIVELY IMPACTED THE AT-RISK YOUTH OF EVERY MAJOR METRPOLITAN AREA IN THE COUNTRY.
