On Belay Ministries’ mission is to support, educate and mentor young adults who are "aging out" of WHEN CHILDREN IN SPONSORSHIP PROGRAMS GROW UP, THEIR SPONSORSHIP EVENTUALLY ENDS. YOUNG ADULTS AGING OUT OF SPONSORSHIP PROGRAMS ARE AT GREAT RISK. RESEARCH SHOWS THESE YOUNG ADULTS, WHO LACK A SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR TRANSITIONING TO ADULTHOOD, ARE SIGNIFICANTLY MORE VULNERABLE TO DANGERS SUCH AS HIV, PROSTITUTION, DEPRESSION, SUICIDE, ALCOHOL AND DRUG ABUSE, MALNUTRITION, AND DEATH. STRUGGLES FOR FOOD AND HOUSING REDUCE THEIR ABILITY TO COMPLETE THEIR EDUCATION. UNEMPLOYMENT IMPACTS THEIR ABILITY TO SUPPORT THEMSELVES. WE COME ALONGSIDE WITH FINANCIAL SUPPORT, LOCAL MENTORING, AND ACCOUNTABILITY, EDUCATION, AND SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE AS THESE YOUNG ADULTS LEAVE THEIR CHILDHOOD SPONSORSHIPS AND MOVE INTO POST SECONDARY EDUCATION, CAREERS, AND INDEPENDENT ADULTHOOD.

Our Story After a decade developing relationships with Ugandan atrisk youth On Belay Ministries was started to help those youth transition to adulthood. What We Do Our Ministries On Belay Ministries provides education life skills training and spiritual training and support for the students we partner with. The goal of this support is to help our students develop independence and a strong spiritual foundation.
