HOPE FOR CATS INC

HFC is a nonprofit 501c3, volunteer-run organization which runs Jake's Place, a cat shelter serving the the Buffalo, NY and it's surrounding suburbs. Our mission is to rescue, shelter & socialize cats in a home-like environment until they can be adopted. To shelter, nurture, and socialize abandoned and homeless cats in a loving, no-kill, no-cages environment until they can be adopted to their forever homes. Hope for Cats is a 501(c) cat rescue, shelter and adoption organization with an all-volunteer staff, established in 2007. Our mission is to protect, house, nurture, and socialize abandoned or homeless cats until they can be adopted. Since some of our feline residents and foster cats have special medical needs, or fall into categories not typically accepted by other rescue groups, Hope for Cats also provides a permanent home for any cats who are not adopted. Hope for Cats is a member of the Animal Alliance of Western New York, a group consisting of other local animal shelter, adoption, rescue and welfare organizations; provides volunteer opportunities for adults and for students and others seeking to fulfill community service goals; and maintains a high standard of medical care for our feline residents. We also have several foster homes which provide short-term or long-term care to cats, typically those with special needs.
