The Elmore County Food Pantry was established in 2008 under the leadership of Charles Chamblee, Pastor of Victory Temple Church in Wetumpka, Alabama. By June 2010, the pantry moved to its initial location on Company Street, Wetumpka, and later acquired a more substantial facility at West Boundary Street in December 2014. This new facility enhanced its capacity to distribute food to those in need.

The pantry serves over 520 families monthly, solidifying its position as one of the most impactful community services in Elmore County. It relies on donations and support from the community to fund its mission.
Recent Developments
In April 2025, the pantry faced an internal crisis with the arrest of its former director and board members, who were charged with first-degree theft. Despite these challenges, the organization remains operational under new leadership.
