The purpose of the organization is to develop and operate a baseball and softball program in the township of Hopewell, New Jersey. The organization seeks to establish ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and reverence amung program participants through the medium of supervised, recreational, and competitive baseball and softball programs.Recreational baseball has been a staple of the Hopewell community since the 1950's. Today, HVBSA recreational baseball reaches more than 400 children each year from ages six to eighteen. Recreational league games are hosted at the Municipal Athletic Complex in Titusville. HVBSA is a member of the Cal Ripken Youth Baseball League. We also field travel teams for play in USABL in the springtime, district teams that compete in the New Jersey Mid-Atlantic Region District play, as well as participate in various local tournaments throughout the region.
