Our mission is to remove the cost associated with setting up a new classroom at Title 1 Schools. School Is In's mission is to remove the cost associated for Teachers with setting up a new classroom at Title 1 schools without PTAs and Foundations. We offer New Teacher Beginning of the School Year Grants. We also offer Special Project Grants to any teachers at Title 1 schools who require missing materials for a standards-based project. Lastly, we provide support to those schools wishing to create and sustain a PTA. School Is In values teachers at Title 1 Schools that do not have PTAs or Foundations for Financial Support. In addition, new teachers are paid in arrears. Unlike other professions, teachers have students on the 1st day of school and need funding prior to that. We recognize that the lack of funding impacts teacher's 1st year transition as well as out-of-pocket costs.
