In the news: there was an almost 80% drop in rates of cervical precancers among women ages 20-24 from 2008 to 2022, correlated with increased vaccination rates. The NC Immunization Coalition HPV Task Force and the NC Advisory Committee on Cancer Coordination and Control want to commend our state’s medical providers for progress made on increasing rates of HPV vaccination, which will lead to a better future for our state’s youth and reduce the burden of cancer in North Carolina.
