Global Vision 2020 distributes eyeglasses to the 2.5 billion people living without access to basic care using their patented device, the USee. The world’s largest unmet disability is poor vision. In many developing nations, there can be as few as one optometrist for every 1 million people. This makes it difficult to screen and provide eyeglasses for those who need them to live healthy, productive lives. The MISSION of Global Vision 2020 is to empower people in developing countries to improve their own lives through access to eyeglasses. We distribute USee Vision Kits™ with a vision-testing device and supplies. A client can leave wearing a well-performing set of eyeglasses in as little as 10-15 minutes. By partnering with nonprofit and faith-based organizations, governments, hospitals, ministries of health, ministries of education, NGOs, and others, we deploy USee Vision Kits in low-resource countries.
