A predator pollinator? Not exactly something you see everyday! Ethiopian wolves (Canis simensis) have been found to indulge in an unexpected sweet snack: red hot poker flowers. Researchers now suspect they may act as pollinators with the wolf's journey from flower to flower accomplishing what the common bee does: spreading pollen and encouraging germination. It seems strange to draw parallels between imposing predators and small insects, but they just might have similar contributions to the environment.
