The Jericho Alliance is focused on supporting the humanitarian aid and relief needs for internally displaced persons (IDP's) in some of the worlds most brutal environments, where the native people are oppressed and relentlessly attacked by their own government or other organizations. We provide direct funding to organizations working on the ground in combative zones, under extreme danger, in order to provide food, shelter, clothing, medical supplies, medical care, counseling and encouragement to more than 1 million people living in the war zones of Burma, Kurdistan and Sudan. Since 2009, the Jericho Alliance provides the annual funding to operate a remote jungle health center with a staff of 15 medics, nurses and support personnel, located 1 days drive southwest of the major NGO city of Mae Sot, Thailand, just 1000 meters across the Thai/Burma Border in the village of Lay Ton Koh, Thailand. This health center provides care to 14 villages, 13 of which are in Karen state, Burma (Myanmar) -- one of the bottom 4 countries in the world for health/medical care -- and supports several thousand ethnic Burmese within a 2 day walk, who would otherwise have no place to go for their health and medical needs.Our work is primarily focused on providing funding to the 2 organizations involved in this work, the Free Burma Rangers and Partners Relief and Development.
