This summer, your wild ride awaits on the Zoo Bus! 🚍🐾 The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is excited to partner with the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) once again this summer for daily service and discounts to the Zoo and Zoombezi Bay for COTA Bus riders. Starting Saturday, May 24, 2025 the Zoo Bus is back for Summer 2025. Ride from downtown Columbus, Griggs Dam Park & Ride, or the Dublin Park & Ride to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and Zoombezi Bay—daily through Labor Day, then Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through October 31, 2025. For some children, their childhood growth is measured by pencil marks on a door frame or pictures next to their childhood teddy bear, but for Ady, a child fascinated by animals, her growth can be measured with her longtime favorite animal at the Columbus Zoo, manatee Stubby. Ady’s family recently reached out to our staff about their special tradition saying “I wanted to share one of our family traditions and a few of our most cherished memories with our manatee friend, Stubby. Our daughter, Ady, has been fascinated with animals since she was little. At age 3, we decided to get a family membership. This is when we met Stubby and fell in love with the Columbus Zoo…. We truly are grateful to Columbus Zoo residents and staff for such a great place to learn about animals and how to upkeep our environment.” Thanks to Ady’s family for sharing such sweet images and about the connection the Zoo brings between wildlife and its visitors.
