To wrap up #AmeriCorpsWeek, we're highlighting those who serve our Graduation Plus program as College Coaches, helping members go to and through college and supporting the vision of the program. This year, @americorps members have helped support academic improvements through tutoring, helping students revise and tell their stories through college essay writing, and serving as discussion facilitators at college seminars. Whether students are in high school or college, the AmeriCorps college coaches are always supportive, and build lifetime connections with them. This year alone, @bgcgradplus will benefit from the support of at least 12 AmeriCorps members with additional members coming this summer. Even better: most of the current AmeriCorps members in Grad Plus were also served in high school by AmeriCorps members and are members of the Grad Plus Collegians Program. As we continue to celebrate #AmeriCorpsWeek, we're putting the spotlight on of our most deserving members, Eric! 🌟 Eric, or “Maverick” as he's known at Camp Whitcomb/Mason, is in his third AmeriCorps service term with BGC MKE, all of which have been with Camp. Maverick not only plays a pivotal role in delivering excellent programming and customer service to community partners during the school year, but also in the summer as a Camp counselor.
