Meals on Wheels for Pets, Nassau County, FL
Meals-on-Wheels for Pets Nassau was created to provide food and vet care to companion animals of elderly and disadvantaged citizens of Nassau County, FL. Our mission is to provide food and veterinary care to the companion animals of elderly and/or disadvantaged citizens who, themselves, are receiving home-delivered meals through our local Council on Aging Meals-on-Wheels program. Our goal is to keep these pets healthy so that they can stay with their guardians as long as possible, providing them with love and companionship necessary for mental, emotional and physical well being.

How You Can Help Donate Volunteer Meals on Wheels for Pets Nassau Research has proven the health benefits of having a pet especially for those people who are sick or alone. Oftentimes these pets are the only family that homebound seniors have. Several Meals on Wheels MOW programs including Nassau County Florida had reported that some seniors were sharing their own food with their pets. This practice is unsafe and unhealthy for both the people and their pets.
