www.padakshep.org. Padakshep is a 501 (c)(3) public charity in wish to support meritorious highschool and undergraduate students in West Bengal, India for whom pursuing higher education is a dream barred by their extreme economic hardship. The specific objectives and purposes of this PADAKSHEP shall be:  (i) To promote higher education among economically backward masses in the state of West Bengal, India.  (ii) To provide economic support for undergraduate and higher secondary courses to meritorious candidates with weak financial background and who are permanent residents of the state of West Bengal, India.   (iii) To provide encouragement and guidance to upcoming students from lower economic strata through the candidates who are being supported by PADAKSHEpublic meetings or other as may from time to time be deemed expedient for the purpose of procuring contributions in the shape of donations, in cash as well as in-kind, subscriptions, etc.
