San Bernardino Cave and Technical Rescue Team
A CalEMA Type I Wilderness and Technical Rescue Team, Type II Cave Rescue Team, and Type I Alpine Rescue Team The SBSD Cave Rescue Team provides Search and Rescue to those persons in difficulty within San Bernardino County and statewide through the mutual aid system.The team responds to a variety of missions, including caves, abandoned mines, and general search & rescue calls. Our education and research programs include development and perfection of new rescue techniques, community outreach and education.

San Bernardino Cave and Technical Rescue Team Pages Monday July 26 2021 Getting Stuck and UnStuck We find ourselves driving in the hinterlands regularly. Driving safely and effectively offroad takes practice and familiarity with your tools. We spent the day practicing our offroad driving skills and honing techniques for getting ourselves unstuck. The remainder of the day was spent dusting off our ELT equipment and making sure that we can still find an emergency locator transmitter in a timely fashion.
