On May 2, recognized as the Day of the Polish Flag and the Day of Poles Abroad, the Polish National Alliance organized a patriotic wreath-laying ceremony at the Thaddeus Kosciuszko Monument on Solidarity Drive in Chicago, IL. This annual tradition, held during the week of May 3rd, commemorates the historic adoption of Poland’s Constitution of May 3, 1791. For over a century, the PNA has brought the community together to honor Polish heritage. During the ceremony, Polish-American community leaders placed wreaths and flowers at the monument in remembrance of General Thaddeus Kosciuszko, a hero in both Polish and American history.
