Nonprofit providing kids in under-resourced NYC & NJ communities with arts education, teaching skills that build future leaders & strengthen local communities. If you believe the arts can improve a child's life, LIKE ARTS TO GROW! Arts to Grow (ATG) collaborates with New York City metro area public schools and community organizations to provide music, visual arts, theater, dance and literary programs to underserved urban youth. ATG provides young people of all abilities the opportunity to engage in the artistic process as a catalyst for learning; our teaching artists and programs are matched based on the specific needs of each school or community-based organization. Arts to Grow works to provide children with the skills necessary to look beyond the limitations of their environment and become leaders now and in the future. By nurturing intellectual, social and emotional learning through the arts, ATG helps young people discover their own learning styles and encourages students to take ownership of their development; in addition, ATG's goal is to help our students 'learn to love learning.'
