The Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Library Alliance is a consortium that supports the work of the information professionals at the libraries, archives, and special collections of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Since its founding, the HBCU Library Alliance has served the unique and indispensable role as stewards of Black history, culture, and the African-American experience. The Alliance strengthens the humanities collections of member libraries and identifies leaders who help preserve and disseminate digital collections to make personal and cultural histories accessible. The HBCU Library Alliance is committed to developing library leaders, preserving collections, and planning for the future.
