Service Club | Oregon-Brooklyn Optimist Club | United States Welcome to the Oregon Brooklyn Optimist Club SUPPORTING CHILDREN THE COMMUNITY FOR OVER 50 YEARS What we do We encourage children to succeed academically and to participate in making their communities a better place. We recognize outstanding students in all Oregon School District Schools culminating inthe Ina and Maynard Stoehr Optimist Scholarship awarded to one OHS senior every year. We recognize adult members of our villages for their contributions to the wellbeing of the community be it through volunteer or professional activities including honoring at least one local police officer each year for outstanding service. We engage in community service participate in community events and sponsor family friendly events.
