INCORPORATED IN 1945, THE PENNSYLVANIA BUILDERS ASSOCIATION IS A NONPROFIT PROFESSIONAL TRADE ORGANIZATION REPRESENTING APPROXIMATELY 4,066 MEMBERS FROM ACROSS THE COMMONWEALTH. PBA MEMBERS INCLUDE CONTRACTORS, BUILDERS, AND REMODELERS, SUBCONTRACTORS, CONSULTANTS, LENDING INSTITUTIONS, UTILITIES AND OTHERS INVOLVED IN THE HOUSING INDUSTRY. PBA SERVES ITS MEMBERSHIP BY PROVIDING PROACTIVE LEADERSHIP ON STATE REGULATORY AND LEGISLATIVE ISSUES AND BY OFFERING PRODUCTS AND SERVICES TO ITS 30 LOCAL ASSOCIATIONS AND CHAPTERS THAT ENHANCE THE EFFECTIVENESS AND PROFESSIONALISM OF ITS MEMBERS. THE MISSION REMAINS CENTERED AROUND 3 MAIN SERVICE AREAS: GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS INITIATIVES TO PROTECT AND GROW THE INDUSTRY, CONTINUING EDUCATION OF OUR MEMBERS, AND TIMELY & ACCURATE COMMUNICATIONS TO MEMBERS ACROSS THE STATE TO KEEP THEM FULLY INFORMED ON PBA ACTIVITIES AND INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENTS. PBA SERVES PA COMMUNITIES AND CONSUMERS THROUGH ITS STEADFAST EFFORTS.

Pennsylvania Builders Association

The Pennsylvania Builders Association (PBA) is a non-profit statewide trade association established in 1945. It is affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders and operates through a network of 30 local associations across Pennsylvania[1][2]. The PBA serves as the unified voice for the home building industry and housing consumers within the Commonwealth.

Purpose and Vision

The PBA's core purpose is to promote and protect the home building industry through teamwork, education, advocacy, and membership[1]. Its vision is to be the premier association for building industry professionals in Pennsylvania, enhancing the ability of its members to provide high-quality, affordable housing[2].

Membership and Structure

PBA represents nearly 4,000 members, including builders, developers, remodelers, subcontractors, suppliers, real estate professionals, and other industry-related entities[2][3]. The organization is governed by a Board of Directors, composed of representatives from local associations across the state[1].
