B.S., Psychology, Dog Behavior Expert/Trainer, Author In Situ is a non-profit that trains dogs to detect early stage cancer in humans. We are working to bring a non invasive test kit for cancer to the public. InSitu Foundation is a 501(c)3 dedicated to training dogs to detect early stage cancer in humans. Our mission is to utilize canine scent detection to provide a diagnostic screening method for the early detection of cancer in humans.Our screening methods are totally non-invasive. We use exhaled breath, urine, saliva, and sputum samples. Our screening methods are also low cost. You can simply breath into a surgical mask for 5 minutes. The most important thing to remember is that dogs are highly accurate at detecting early stage cancer. Published results show accuracy levels in both sensitivity and specificity hovering around 95 to 99%. In Situ Foundation created the first recognized protocol for training bio- dogs (cancer detection dogs). This protocol is available to the public through Dina Zaphiris's Bio-Dog Training 6 Day Course.

Home - InSitu Dogs Detect Cancer In Situ Foundation created the first medical protocol for the selection training and handling of a medical scent detection dog. Enloe Medical Center is a proud supporter of the Insitu Foundation We have trained over 50 dogs in 12 years to detect cancer including a group of e. coli detection dogs for UTI infections in disabled people. Doctors and scientists are taking a closer look at disease detection through the eyes of the canine nose.
