Introducing one of VAF's 2024 Resident Grant Award Recipients, Dr. Emi Retter! Emi Retter is a first-year ophthalmology resident at North Carolina State University. Her research interests include neuro-ophthalmology, degenerative diseases, and comparative ophthalmology. Prior to veterinary school, she completed a PhD at the University of Illinois studying aquatic invasive species ecology. Dr. Retter is honored to have received the VAF grant for her proposal on prognostication of optic neuritis in dogs and looks forward to working with Drs. Annie Oh and Melissa Lewis on this project.
