The Renegades are members of the Amateur Softball Association the governing body for USA Softball. We believe that youth sports help promote team unity, character building, physical fitness and self-esteem in the players. Athletics prepare the players for the future and help develop skills to be used further in life. It has also been proven in various studies that female athletes perform better in academics and are less likely to have personal problems then the non-athletes. The current players on our teams are made up of players from deriving from all ethnic and minority groups. The San Diego Renegades operate as a non-profit organization and are funded solely by fund raisers, player fees, sponsors, and advertisers.
