More than 20 groups of third-year students from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine (NYCPM) recently showcased their clinical research projects at the 2025 Research Poster Day. The event was judged by Dr. Donald Scot Malay and Dr. Hye Kim of Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia. Congrats to NYCPM Class of 2026 student Naila Habeeb, who was awarded first place for her project titled, "Plantar Fasciitis Surgical Outcomes: Influence of BMI on Pain Resolution vs. Symptom Persistence." Second place went to Andreas Markoulli and third-place went to Evan Kello, Matthew Cohen, Yesabel Nunez, Rivka Kesler, Kolton Zaffuto, and Omar Yakoup. The top three winners received awards of $1,000 for first place, $500 for second place, and $250 for third place.
