Blue River Community Foundation (BRCF) will once again host a summer scholarship workshop for Shelby County high school students on track to graduate by June 2026. Students who attend will learn about scholarship opportunities available through BRCF, including the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship. Topics will include how to apply using BRCF’s online application, writing an expressive essay, selecting recommenders, preparing for interviews, and transitioning from high school to college. Attendees will also hear tips and insights from members of BRCF’s Alumni Scholar Alliance. This spring Blue River Community Foundation is awarding 240 scholarships among 157 students totaling $508,000 for the 2025-26 academic year. Of those 157 students, 61 are currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs. Congratulations to these recipients receiving awards through our competitive application process as well as Shelby County’s current Lilly Scholars.
