Johnston Partnership for a Healthy Community was started over 25 years ago by a group of school nurses within the Johnston Community School District who wanted to help students struggling to get enough to eat. These nurses saw a need and they came together to address it. Today the Partnership continues to serve families and individuals in Johnston and the greater Des Moines community who are atrisk due to financial insecurity.
