The Havens Relief Fund Society HOW WE HELP For the past 154 years the Havens Relief Fund Societyhas been meeting the temporary financial emergency needs ofindividuals and families in New York City one person and crisis at a time. Through our unique grant making approach Havensprovides modest onetime grants to bring hope and dignity to people during their most desperate times. Since its inception in 1871 Havens has disbursed more than 45 milliondollars in grants providing aid in times of dire crisis to approximately 173000 individuals and families living in the five boroughs of New York.
