Overview

The Fredericksburg Area Council on Transition (FACT) is a regional, multi-agency nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities as they transition from secondary education to independent living.

Mission

The mission of FACT is to collaborate with various community agencies and stakeholders to provide resources and guidance for individuals with disabilities and their families. Activities and Resources

Additionally, FACT provides access to information about Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Medicaid, and tax-advantaged savings programs for people with disabilities.

Meetings and Engagement

FACT typically meets monthly, now often virtually, to coordinate efforts and facilitate communication among its members and stakeholders. This collaborative approach ensures that individuals with disabilities receive comprehensive support throughout their transition into adulthood.
