An Open Community Continuing the Thought of Martin Heidegger Purpose The purpose of the Heidegger Circle is to develop promote and secure the future of Heidegger studies. The Circle is therefore dedicated to critical thinking and scholarship that rigorously engages with the works and life of Martin Heidegger from a variety of perspectives including but not limited to creative historically contextual exegetical contemporary sociopolitical and conceptual. The purpose of the Circle is served by the holding of its annual conference by its affiliate journal Gatherings The Heidegger Circle Annual by the organization of satellite sessions at major North American philosophy conferences by its mentorship program and by other activities that facilitate community among its members.
