Magen David Adom was founded in Israel prior to the founding of Israel in 1930. Magen David Adom also responds to worldwide crisis on an as requested basis. The mission of Magen David Adom USA is to support the work of MDA Israel by providing a way for donors to participate in MDA's mission. Awareness programs through public lectures and fund raising campaign for designated gifts to MDA Israel are arranged throughout the USA.
