Description

Hannah's House of Plano

Hannah's House of Plano, also known as Cona-Stone Corporation, is a Texas-based non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe, secure, and stable environment for children. The organization primarily serves families engaged in custody litigation, offering a neutral ground for supervised visitation and exchange services.

Mission and Services

Hannah's House aims to reduce the emotional hardship children often experience during custody disputes by providing a non-judgmental and respectful environment. The organization facilitates supervised visits, allowing children to maintain safe contact with their parents and other significant relatives despite family conflicts. Additionally, it offers a neutral location for child pick-ups and drop-offs, minimizing direct interaction between parents.

While Hannah's House focuses on supervised visitation, it also provides referral services for issues related to domestic violence and substance abuse, which may affect parental relationships.

Operational Challenges

In the past, Hannah's House of Plano faced significant operational challenges, including relocation issues when their rented building was sold. The organization relies on hourly fees from parents for operational support, but it does not turn away families unable to pay, ensuring that parents can maintain contact with their children regardless of financial circumstances.

Structure and Funding

As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Hannah's House relies on donations to maintain its services. Without government funding, the organization depends on community support and generosity from donors, known as "Hannah's Helpers," to continue its work.

Hannah's House of Plano is part of a broader network of organizations under the Hannah's House name, which share similar goals of supporting families through difficult transitions. However, Hannah's House of Plano operates independently with a specific focus on supervised visitation in the Plano area.

About the organization

- P20 -

Hannahs House provides a safe location for children to have contact with parents and other relatives they might not otherwise be able to maintain a relationship with due to custody litigation or other difficult family transitions. We also provide a neutral location where parents can pick up and drop off children without having to interact directly with each other. Our goal in providing these services is to eliminate as much of the emotional hardship that children frequently have to endure as a result of custody litigation as possible while helping them maintain safe contact with their parents and other significant relatives. While there may be many allegations made between parents in custody litigation Hannahs House strives to provide a neutral nonjudgmental and respectful environment for the parents who use our services.
