They act as a crucial link, referring patients to facilities and building trust between community members and the formal health system. 💬 We strengthen the capacity of existing government structures, like community health committees, to transform health care and hold government accountable. These committees create a forum to discuss the specific challenges of each community, bringing members together to find a solution. 🏥 Lwala works with hundreds of facilities across Kenya to equip health care workers with training, commodities, and protocols to improve service delivery and better navigate maternal and newborn complications.
