SMART Receives NY Health Foundation Grant SMART is proud to announce that we are a recipient of the NY Health Foundations Healthy Food Healthy Lives Supporting a More Equitable Food System grant. With support from this grant we have launched SMART Food for Life a pilot project that will directly address the health of SMART women clients by linking those with Type 2 Diabetes or who are prediabetic to a nutritional counseling b the development of a medically tailored culturally appropriate food plan and c the provision of prescribed food.
