Breaking! HBs 4066 & 4469 were voted out of committee 3 to 2 today. Despite overwhelming testimony against the bill, a lack of Michigan voices in support of the bill, and the bill sponsor, Rylee Linting (R-Grosse Ile), leaving early to avoid questioning. These bills do not protect women, girls, or anyone in our state. Today, we were able to show up and speak out for everyone’s ability to thrive in schools and have equal access to every part of education. A huge thank you to everyone who came to Lansing today to make sure that bigotry does not go unchallenged. (fb)
