🌟 As we celebrate National Nurses Week, we’re thrilled to share special recognition for nurses who recently received the DAISY Award® for nursing excellence. 🌟 🎉 Congratulations to Danelle Feys, RN, Emergency Department, who received the inaugural DAISY® Award at Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital. In the nomination, a grateful patient wrote: “She went above and beyond to make my daughter comfortable and acknowledged and embraced my concerns. She helped make an anxiety-provoking situation a little less scary, which is so important. I am very grateful.” 👏 Nisa-Curtis-Quick, RN, with the OR team at Otsego Memorial Hospital, received two nominations this spring. One patient wrote: “Not only is she an amazing provider, but she's also an all-around kind and compassionate human. I’m forever thankful for Nisa and the love she’s shown to me and my family.” In the second nomination, a patient said: “She was absolutely amazing! She calmed my nerves and made me feel comfortable. She went above and beyond.” 🌼 Congratulations also to Nadiya Weston, RN, with the Cardiac Cath Lab at Munson Medical Center. The family member of a patient wrote: “She exemplifies empathy, compassion, attentiveness, expertise, and kind-heartedness. Her genuine and compassionate spirit allowed both my husband and I to have immediate trust.
