Illinois Spina Bifida Association
The Illinois Spina Bifida Association (ISBA) works to improve the quality of life of children, adults living with spina bifida. The Illinois Spina Bifida Association works to improve the quality of life of children, adults, and families living with spina bifida, a lifelong neurological condition that affects the spine and is usually apparent at birth. Spina bifida can cause physical and developmental disabilities that range from mild to severe. Spina bifida is a complex condition that, for many, requires specialized medical care and daily attention to health and wellness. ISBA works to accomplish its mission with a three-part program strategy: *Promote skills development and independence; *Support families through outreach, education and advocacy; and *Invest in people through targeted financial assistance.
