North Star Rescue
North Star Rescue, founded in 2008, was founded to help with crisis of companion animal overpopulation in California with a focus towards exotic companion animals. Our charity is centered around the rescue, which takes in animals that would otherwise be killed in shelters due to lack of space, and provides medical and social rehabilitation before offering the animals up for adoption to the general public. North Star Rescue also has a strong emphasis on education, and provides care advice, welfare information, and presentations on animal welfare at a variety of California locations.
