Footage Foundation
Footage's mission is simple: to amplify the voices of youth as a means of catalyzing change within themselves and their their communities. Though we work with all youth, as a women led organization we have a focus on girls and young women. Our programs and methods are unique: Through the use of innovative expressive media and programming eliciting voice, fostering participation, and increasing empowerment our programs target those drivers of change including compassion, connection, cultural awareness, skill development, that lead to social transformation. Footage programs bring the voices and experiences of young people with a focus on girls and young women into the conversations on the world's most challenging issues. Our methods including mobile digital storytelling help share the stories and needs of disenfranchised youth while also empowering youth to continue expressing and advocating for themselves, their peers, and their local and global communities. We believe we cannot achieve lasting social change without inviting all youth including the experiences and perspectives of millions of unheard young people to the discussion as key stakeholders and change agents.
