The mission of the United States Power Soccer Association (USPSA) is to provide persons with physical disabilities using power chairs the opportunity to play, learn, and compete in the sport of Power Soccer. The USPSA governs the sport of Power Soccer in the United States. The USPSA promotes the sport on a national and international level through tournament play, referee certification, training and continued growth.The purposes of the USPSA are:A. To act as the national governing body for the sport of Power Soccer in the United States.B. To establish strategic plans and national goals for the promotion and continued growth of the sport of Power Soccer including participation and competition at all levels.C. To oversee the interpretation, standardization, and enforcement of Power Soccer in the United States.D. To protect the interests of the USPSA membership.E. To sanction national and international amateur athletic competition in Power Soccer and to allow member teams and players to compete in sanctioned competitions in accordance with the Amateur Sports Act.F. To promote and conduct ongoing training, research, and technical development to improve the sport of Power Soccer.Power soccer changes lives. The benefits rise above the sport beyond the individual athlete and inspire family, friends, and fans by the display of human spirit and determination to overcome obstacles reaching far beyond the field of play. The sport provides a new hope and vision for a path to the future.
