Growing Tucsons Agricultural Heritage Mission Garden is a living agricultural museum of Sonoran Desertadapted heritage fruit trees traditional local heirloom crops and edible native plants. The Garden is managed by Friends of Tucsons Birthplace a 501c3 nonprofit with no religious affiliation. Mission Garden is located at the foot of Sentinel Peak at the site of the Native American village of Cuk on pronounced Chuk Shon a place sacred to the Tohono Oodham. Current garden plots include Native Plants Early Agriculture Hohokam Oodham Before European Contact Oodham After European Contact Spanish Mexican Chinese Yoeme Africa in the Americas Medicinal and Youth.
