During #NursesWeek, we're proud to celebrate the incredible nurses at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. Danielle Loynd, BSN, RN, staff nurse, resource/float pool, shares what inspired her to pursue a career in nursing: "I remember sitting in the room while the hospice staff visited and having so much respect for the way that they cared for [my grandfather] and helped him find comfort, when we all knew he was struggling. As hard as that experience was for my entire family, the hospice nurses sparked a light in me that never faded; I was going to be a nurse!" Danielle goes on to say, "Even at the conclusion of my most difficult shifts, I leave knowing that I did everything possible to help my patients and that is why I chose to become a nurse!” Thank you to all of our nurses for making a difference in the lives of our patients and community every day.
