The mission of the Bill Jones Photographic Arts Foundation is to inspire, educate and connect the largest possible audience through the collected works, management and preservation of photographic images for the visual arts. Because photography is an art, science and a way of life, our purpose is to enhance the understanding of photography. Additionally, our goal is to promote community educational programs on the historical importance of photography as it relates to every day life. Other programs offered through the foundation, will incorporate exhibitions that present photographers' works and visions as vital and central to life and African American Culture. The images archived in these collective works, reflect the visual story telling that brings people together to create a new perspective on a shared value that overcomes moments in time and distance.
